RESOURCES FOR DESPERATE TEENS

Perhaps it's because I'm getting more attuned to it, perhaps not, I've become aware of so many young people feeling lost and desperate, to the point they feel the only way out is death.

Not only are we losing bright young lives, but the light is going out of so many other lives - parents, family friends, even those who read about this terrible epidemic and feel helpless to do anything about it.

It's impossible to reach everyone and this is such a small corner of the internet world, but I wouldn't be me if I didn't feel I had to do SOMETHING to help.

There is nothing worse than that feeling that the world is simply too much to bear. Every day is an effort that's not appreciated by anyone. There's no one there for you. No one understands. No one cares. No one in the world could ever feel as bad as you do, and it's never going to get better. There's nothing you can do; nothing you can change. You're helpless, Powerless. You have no one to talk to who could possibly understand, and everyone in your life wants to hurt you or have a piece of you in one way or another. There's only one way to escape. Only one way to finally find peace.

NO

There is NOT only one way.

The first step on any journey is the biggest, and often the hardest. Stepping over the threshold, jumping out of the plane, making the decision to change - or just reaching out. But there is someone to reach out to. There is someone who cares - about you, who wants to help - you.

Everyone is different and people relate to different things, therefore I don't see much point in offering one port of call, one answer, one offer. There isn't one. Instead, what I've tried to do is compile as much information as I can find about what's out there. Who's out there.

Every single link on my list is portal to a different world, a doorway to someone who actually cares, and who knows what it's like.

For everyone who feels there is only one way out, there is someone who's found another way. I hope you can find them on the list.

I've pinned the list to the top of my blog. If anyone has any other resource or link they can suggest please let me know and I'll post it.

I would be more than grateful to anyone who will share, like tweet, social media to death this post, and this message

There is more than one way
You are not alone.
